I was lucky enough to snag the Laura Geller shine n shield lib balm in the shade of golden hour. The Laura Geller lip balm not only hydrates your lips but also protects your lips from the suns uv rays. This lip balm provides spf 15, coats the lips with a soft wash of color but with maximum protection therefore leaving your lips soft silky smooth and kissable. The shade golden hour gives you a soft natural hint of color for the natural subtle look. It doesn’t leave the lips sticky or the corners of your mouth white which I think we all dislike about about a lot of other lip balms. I get a decent wear out of golden hour before having to reapply. Although I do reapply before I feel it is needed due to wanting to keep my lips protected with the spf but the bottom line is this balm is bomb you better get you some..

This shine and shield lip balm is pretty pigmented for a lip product that has high gloss texture. It feels like a cross between the 90s style thick shiny tube glosses and a modern lip balm. Golden Hour is the most “nude” of the three shades available and it is a light brown color with peach/pink undertones. It has spf 15 and a glossy, sticky texture. The color is natural/semi sheer when applied. I find myself reapplying throughout the day because I really like the glossiness and hydration. I like that there is not a strong or overwhelming scent. There’s a mild scent which may have to do with the zinc oxide but it is not very noticeable to me. Overall this is just a great purse lip balm. It’s perfect for touch ups and on the go application throughout the day.

The Laura Geller Shine-n-Shield Lip Balm SPF 15 is so smooth and hydrating. The color gives the perfect pop of pink. I usually stay away from pink lippies but truly love the shade of pink from this lip balm. The packaging is perfect with a soft silicone applicator and the product dispenses perfectly. I was impressed how the balm came out in the perfect amount and wasn’t messy which is a deal breaker for me with lip balms. This is my first time trying a Laura Geller product and it has me wanting to try more. The formula is so smooth and hydrating. It has my lips feeling soft and juicy. Also excited it had spf in it, I feel lip protection is just as important as skin protection. I highly recommend trying this balm because it’s amazing and the shade is so pretty!
