After years (decades even) of wearing make up and trying everything from expensive department store brands to cheapy drug store products, I think this Laura Geller Double Take Baked Full Coverage Foundation might be the last brand I will ever buy. In my younger 20s/30s, I've had to deal with extremely oily skin. Almost every brand claims to control the oil but I find myself blotting my face constantly by noon and for the remainder of the day, my makeup did not look as fresh as when I first applied it. I even tried stage makeup which did help a lot with the oil and for the last several years, stuck with that. For someone who isn't good with color, I often question what is my true shade? And what's my undertone? When you don't have a makeup artist in the drug store, you spend a lot of money guessing at your shade among hundreds of subtleties of "medium." Maybe it was the advertising, maybe it was the sale, but here I am trying Laura Geller for the first time. When I first applied the foundation, it was an instant and perfect match. I loved how light it feels on me. And it definitely provides the right coverage that I need and want. The best part is that I'm not blotting any oils throughout the day. My usual regimen is to apply a cream foundation and then set it with a powder. This one compact is all I need. The sponge is at the bottom with a mirror.
