Study: Spackle Primer Formula Comparison — In-Home Use Test

Administered by: AS Beauty, on behalf of the Laura Geller brand (“AS Beauty,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) Thank you for your interest in participating in this Laura Geller consumer research study. You have been invited because you are a recent Spackle Primer customer. In this study, we are asking you to try and compare two versions of Laura Geller Spackle Primer at home and share your honest feedback about whether you notice any difference between them.

Please read this Form carefully and sign it before you begin the study.

1. What is this study?

This is an in-home use test (IHUT). You will receive a package containing two Spackle Primer samples, labeled only “Primer A” and “Primer B,” along with printed instructions and a link to a short feedback survey. You will use both products at home and then tell us about your experience.

To keep the comparison fair, the two products are identified only as “A” and “B.” Please do not try to determine which version is which, and please answer the survey based only on your own honest experience.

This is designed as a one-day test. In some cases, we may ask a participant to continue using the products for a longer period; if that applies to you, we will let you know separately.

2. What you will be asked to do

  • Apply a pea-size amount of each primer to clean skin: Primer A on the LEFT side of your face and Primer B on the RIGHT side of your face.
  • Apply your usual makeup on top, as you normally would.
  • Complete the short feedback survey about whether you noticed any differences between the two sides.

3. Participation is voluntary

Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary. You may decline to participate, and you may withdraw at any time and for any reason, without penalty. If you withdraw before completing the study, you may not be eligible for the study’s discount code (see Section 4).

4. Compensation

Upon your full completion of the study — meaning you use both products as instructed and complete the associated feedback survey — you will receive a 20% off discount code redeemable on LauraGeller.com. This code is provided as a thank-you for your time and is not conditioned on giving positive feedback. Honest, candid responses — whether favorable or critical — are exactly what we’re looking for and areequally eligible for the code.

5. Skin safety and adverse reactions

These are cosmetic face primers intended for external, topical use. As with any cosmetic or skincare product, there is a small chance of irritation or an allergic reaction. Please read this section carefully.

  • Please do not participate if you have a known allergy or sensitivity to cosmetic primers or silicone-based products, or if you currently have irritation, a skin condition, or broken or compromised skin on your face.
  • We recommend a patch test before applying to your face — apply a small amount to the inside of your forearm and wait 24 hours — especially if you have sensitive skin. A full ingredient list for each product is available on request before you begin; contact the study team.
  • If you experience any irritation, redness, itching, burning, swelling, or other adverse reaction, stop using the product(s) immediately, wash the area with water, and consult a healthcare provider if the reaction persists or is severe.
  • Please report any adverse reaction to the study team at kmichel@asbeauty.com as soon as possible.

6. Confidentiality (Non-Disclosure)

One or both of the products in this study may be an unreleased version of Spackle Primer that is not yet available to the public. By signing this Form, you agree that:

  • You will keep confidential all information you learn about this study — including product names, formulas, ingredients, packaging, claims, pricing, concepts, and survey questions — unless and until AS Beauty tells you that information has been publicly released.
  • You will not disclose, discuss, post, or share any such information — in any form — with any other person or party, including by word of mouth, text or email, or on any social media platform, blog, vlog, forum, review site, or messaging app.
  • You will not photograph, screen-record, copy, or otherwise reproduce confidential study materials except where this study specifically asks you to submit photos or video as part of your feedback.
  • You will not sell, give away, or misuse any product samples you receive.
  • Members of your household are bound by these same confidentiality obligations.

This confidentiality commitment is ongoing and continues to apply even after the study has ended. You understand that this is a legally binding commitment and that a breach of this section may expose you to legal liability.

7. Use of your feedback, photos, and video

By signing this Form, you grant AS Beauty and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, and agencies permission to use the feedback you provide (such as survey responses and written comments) in connection with product development, internal reporting, and, where AS Beauty chooses to do so, in marketing, advertising, and promotional materials.

Submitting photos or video is optional and, if requested, will be requested separately — you are never required to submit images or video to participate or to receive your discount code. If you do choose to submit a photo or video, you grant AS Beauty permission to use your name (or a first name/last initial, atAS Beauty’s discretion), image, likeness, voice, and testimonial in connection with the uses described above. AS Beauty is not obligated to use any material you provide and has sole discretion over whether and how it is used. You waive the right to review or approve any finished materials.

8. Your personal information

To send your study materials and issue your discount code, AS Beauty will retain basic contact

information (such as your name, email address, and shipping address). AS Beauty will take reasonable measures to keep your personal information secure and will not sell it to third parties. You may ask to have your associated contact information deleted at any time by contacting the study team.

9. Truthful responses

Because the goal of this study is to learn whether customers notice a difference between the two products, honest responses are essential. By participating, you agree that the responses you provide will be true and honest accounts of your own experience, given of your own free will. Whether your feedback is favorable or critical has no bearing on your eligibility for the discount code described in Section 4.

10. Release of liability

Aside from the skin-safety considerations described in Section 5, AS Beauty is not aware of any

significant risks associated with participation in this study. By signing this Form, you acknowledge that your participation is voluntary and at your own risk, and you release AS Beauty, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees, and agents from any claims arising from your participation, except for claims arising from AS Beauty’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.

11. This is a legally binding agreement

This Form is a legally binding agreement between you and AS Beauty with respect to this study, and — with respect to Section 6 (Confidentiality) — thereafter. If you have questions about the scope of any term in this Form, you are encouraged to seek independent advice before signing.

12. Consent

I have read and understood this Spackle Primer In-Home Use Test Study Consent Form. I understand what the study involves, including the skin-safety information in Section 5, and I freely and voluntarily agree to participate under its terms.

Consent is given electronically: by clicking to agree to the Consent Agreement in the Spackle Primer IHUT Sign-Up & Consent form, you are electronically agreeing to all of the terms of this Consent Form, exactly as if you had signed it by hand.

This document is provided for your reference. You do not need to sign, print, or return it — your electronic agreement is recorded when you click to agree to the Consent Agreement in the Spackle Primer IHUT Sign-Up & Consent form.
