- How To Use
Apply dry to eyelids, or wet for a more vibrant color payoff.
the colors are actually not as wild as they look when you use them dry. I have light skin, and these are super wearable dry, and pretty for spring. i tried them as eyeliner wet, and it was stunning. really makes the color come to life if that is what you like.
What A Beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Palette caught my eye as I was perusing the website one dreary Monday. Boy, did my day turn around. I saw it, bought it and fell in loveee with it! I am so so happy that, for this spring season Laura created a colorful and bright palette. I just received the palette and immediately put it to work. The best part about LG’s Baked eye shadows is the dual feature! I always make sure to apply all of her baked eye shadows Wet and Dry. Applying it with a damp brush (brush misted with Spackle mist or even water) for a bolder and deeper effect and OR applying it dry. I did both and was NOT disappointed. The shadows blended and applied seamlessly; offering a pigmented application. I am a huge believer in priming my eye lids for the best, never moving and ever perfect, application. With the ISLAND ESCAPE EYESHADOW PALETTEI did just that, to make even the trickiest shade, for me it was the Jungle Green (frosty mint) as I have naturally tan skin, POP! All in All thank you Laura for creating the Palette this millennial Makeup maven needs!
The only eye product I carry
I never write reviews, but i simply HAD TO after getting this amazing palette. The colors are bright enough to really stand out, yet also subtle enough for a soft, colorful, daytime look. Dress it up or down! I loved layering the Island Haze with the Jungle Green for some Gigi Hadid realness <3 <3
When I saw the Island Escape palette I immediately fell in love with the colors, however this palette is very pigmented. Since I have oily skin and normally use eyeprimer or eyeliner pencils/gel paired with eyeshadow this palette was not a problem for me. So I paired them up with my InkCredible Eyeliner Pencils and the colors are beautiful! Deep waters with Blue Jean Baby, Paradise Purple with Into the Lavender, Jungle Green w/ Ocean, Black Sands w/ Blackbird, I also tried Fifty Kisses in Beige Bite with passion fruit pink for a shimmer for my lips. I recommend for those makeup junkies like myself who love to transform colors, need transition colors or know little tips and tricks like wetting any eyeshadow (loose or pressed) and it will become very pigmented.
