Hello Friends,

  Twice a year, my son, Daniel, and I go away to spend some quality time with one another. This Christmas was no different. I guess you can say we did our own escape to the tropics because this Christmas we went to the Dominican Republic: a place I’ve visited before. It truly is a beautiful destination and it is a place that I love. It was a long awaited trip and both Daniel and I took full advantage of it. Alarm clocks didn’t have to be set, we visited the pool every day, and we enjoyed the warm weather. Daniel was the “King of the pack” as he made many younger friends. It was such an adorable thing.

  The most interesting moment didn’t necessarily take place in the Dominican Republic. As I was there, I heard of a snowstorm that was about to hit New York City. Fearing it would affect our trip back home, I had to make the decision for Daniel and I to leave early before the storm hit. I started to question whether or not coming home too soon was a good idea but boy can I tell ya, it turned out to be a very good decision since New York was covered with 12 inches of snow! Although my trip to the Dominican Republic was very relaxing, I am looking forward to getting right back in the saddle of the New Year.
