Hi Everyone,

I’ve just returned from London and boy can I tell you, I had a great time as always. It’s so good being able to visit my UK girls. What made this trip more exciting is that I was able to bring my son Daniel with me! As Fall gets underway I have many exciting things coming up, such as filming a couple of segments for Better TV and I’m hoping I will be back on LXTV soon (for all my New Yorkers who are familiar with this show). In addition, I’m hosting an intimate makeover event at my Studio on October 23rd.  We will be offering complimentary application & customized tips and will also cover exciting topics including Fall Color Trends and the ideal Holiday Look! Many of you are familiar with my International Makeup Artist, Johnny Ottavino, but do you know just how we came together? Many years ago, before Johnny and I teamed up, we had always heard about each other but never actually met!  At the time, we were both doing makeup for celebrities and Television clients. One day, a producer from Inside Edition gave me a call and asked if I could help make up a renowned anchorwoman before she went on air, per suggestion from Johnny as he wasn’t able to do so. When I arrived on set for Inside Edition, I remember telling myself, “Wow. This guy is unbelievable.” Here I was thinking I was organized with my makeup but Johnny took the crown! The makeup was pristine, in fantastic order, and clean! It was astonishing.

Doing this favor for him led to many more occasions where we would fill in for one another. After 10 years, I decided it was time Johnny and I met in person. As we sat down to have lunch, Johnny had offered his services to help me with big weddings. He ended up loving making up brides so much that he decided to leave the TV Business. There was no looking back! It’s amazing to see how he has evolved and is not only an International Makeup Artist but is also the training director of Laura Geller Makeup. I am truly fortunate to find someone who shares the same views and mentalities as I do and I am so happy to be able to consider Johnny my friend.
