I spend a great deal of my time plugged in to Facebook, Twitter and QVC Community reviewing your comments and feedback. Staying connected to what you say truly helps me in the creation of my products. The birth of the Fresh Brewed Beauty Collection (my latest QVC US Today’s Special Value!) and the new Baked ImPRESSions products came from so many of you who were requesting a modern matte collection. So, I want to thank you all for helping with my inspiration. So many times, you all share such wonderful ideas and techniques of your very own, and I am so inspired when I read them that sometimes I even share them on air during my QVC shows!

By now, I am sure many of my Geller Gals have received their Fresh Brewed Beauty Collection. I have to say, all of your positive feedback and genuine excitement for this collection has made me so happy—I am beyond grateful for everyone's kind words.

I wanted to share a few extra tips and tricks of my own for some of the products included in the Fresh Brewed Beauty Collection.

New! - Baked imPRESSions Eyeshadow Palette in Espresso Yourself

Consider taking an Angled Liner Brush (not included in the collection, but available on my website!) and using the darkest shade, fill in your eyebrows to create a natural, fuller-looking brow. You can also use the darkest shade to line around your eyes. Try using it wet for a more defined finish or dry for a softer finish.

New! – Color Drenched Lip Gloss in Café Au Lait

If you ever decide you want to add more pop to your lip with our gloss, consider using a brighter lip liner to line and fill in your whole lip area and then apply the gloss—this will help bump up your color! Another tip is to first apply your favorite lipstick and then apply a light layer of the lip gloss to create dimension and add shine.

Some other tips…

POP OF COLOR FOR EYES

To add a pop of color to the beautiful, on-trend neutral eyeshadow shades, consider lining your eyes with richer, brighter liners like my Eye Rimz Baked Wet/Dry Eye Accents or my brand new Eye Rimz Waterproof Pencils. Any shade would work, so chose your favorite and try it out!

BAKED HIGHLIGHTER

The Baked Highlighter in French Vanilla has so many wonderful uses. Consider using it as a base eyeshadow if you want to get a little more brightness on your eye and a little more of a sateen finish. The finish of the Baked Highlighter in French Vanilla is beautiful.

Hello, friends!

Whether it’s an interview with a magazine editor or a conversation with my GGs on Facebook, I’m always asked this question: Who inspires you? To be honest, there isn’t just one person who has inspired me in my career (other than my mom, of course). My answer is…YOU.

My inspiration comes from all of you women out there—from those in the workplace to the stay-at-home moms and caregivers, I find women everywhere around the world marvelous and inspiring! When I’m stopped in the street by a woman who tells me how my makeup has changed their life, I’m immediately flattered and motivated to continue to deliver breakthroughs in products and technologies, and develop beauty problem solvers that are helpful, affordable and universally flattering (and goof-proof in every way!).

As a makeup artist, I applaud and commend every woman out there who isn’t afraid to be herself and who charges up ahead, proud of her own style. In the entertainment industry, I’m inspired by women like Joan Rivers—original to the core, still doing their own unique thing and stylish at any and every age.

And, speaking of those in the beauty and fashion forefront, another source of inspiration for me are magazine editors.

These are the people who seek, discover and report on everything that is new, trendy, innovative and good for you out there. They’re smart and savvy…they give you the truth on what’s in (and often times what’s out, ha!) in the beauty world. While I’m usually the one being interviewed, I oftentimes turn the tables and ask about what inspires them as beauty advocates and what’s on their radar for the next big, game changing, must-have product or trend. I love hearing their industry insight and learning what the next can’t-live-without products will be. When I tell the editors about my own upcoming products and innovations, they also get so excited that it always reminds me of why I love what I do, and love who I do it for—all of you.

Photos are priceless, and you never realize how much you truly treasure them until you take the time to look through your photo albums. I found this photo of me (when I was four years old!) and my mother, and I was filled with so many wonderful emotions.

Seeing the joy in my mother’s eyes while I held my newborn almost twelve years ago is a moment and a memory I will treasure always. I simply don’t know how to describe the pure joy of being a mother myself.

There’s never a day I’m not mindful of how lucky I am to have my mother in my life. For those of you who are fortunate to still have your mothers, or even that special someone who has been like a mom to you, please know you are truly blessed. And for those who have lost your mothers or the person in your life who was like a mother to you, you’re in my thoughts and in my heart. Since my father passed away, I know how hard it is so lose someone you love, and my heart goes out to you.

I think Mother’s Day is not only about mothers, but about women everywhere! Women should be celebrated and applauded (all the time!) because we are all caregivers at some point or another, whether to children, elderly or even our dearest friends.

Take a moment to pat yourself on the back this Mother’s Day or even buy yourself a gift because you deserve it, girlfriends.
