Hello GGs,

Many of you are fans of my Spackle Under Makeup Primer, but do you know where the name “Spackle” came from? I am often asked by both friends and colleagues how the name of this product came to be. Today I’ve decided to share that story with you.

As we all know, Spackle is a product used before you paint; it is also a tongue-and-cheek expression many women use. I’m sure many of us out there have said in some form or another, “gotta apply some spackle on my face”. Many years ago, I had the privilege of being the makeup artist of a well-known anchorwoman. As I would start to prep her face, she would always tell me "I sure hope you have more than makeup in your kit, I hope you have Spackle". After hearing that expression for so long I knew I needed to create a product that did not exist in the market place. The anchorwoman's remark inspired me to create a product called “Spackle” that would help smooth the skin and fill in fine lines. My team and I went right to work to construct this product.

What’s also funny about the creation of my Spackle Under Makeup Primer is that when we decided to create “Spackle”, a painting company already trademarked the name but was happy to allow us to use it! It brings me such pride to know I created a whole franchise in the cosmetic industry, and that so many of you can now benefit, from Spackle!

Hi Geller Girls,

Johnny here! Today is a very special day as it is Laura’s Birthday. Because she is so close to my heart, I wanted to share with you some beautiful words about my amazing friend.

Few people in your life make you laugh, smile and just feel good! I wake up every morning feeling honored to be a part of 'Laura’. I know that together, we change the way women feel about themselves and make a difference in their lives, and that does it for me!

To my dear friend, with all my heart, Happy Birthday!

Every girl deserves a night out, whether it be for cocktails with coworkers, dinner with long-time friends, or a romantic evening with your significant other.  As you get ready for the evening, don't forget to glam up your daytime makeup.  Transform your look from natural to supernatural with just a few basics!

As usual, start with my Spackle® Under Makeup Primer.  The sheer formula will ensure that your luxurious look stays put as you dance and laugh the night away.  Smooth my Baked Body Frosting on your skin for a subtle shimmer from head to toe -- it's the perfect complement to any skin tone, whether you prefer a subtle luminosity or a warm, radiant glow. Make your eyes sparkle as bright as the stars with my Sugar Baked Pearl Eyeshadow/Eye Rimz Duo. Polish off your look with my Tropics Collection lipsticks and lip glosses. (Fun tip: layer them for a totally unique color!)

Tailor the look further to fit your own personal preferences: add blush to accentuate your cheekbones, or dark mascara to lengthen lashes. Got your own version to add? Share your nighttime make-up regime with me on my Facebook and Twitter pages!
